Like many utility companies, we have a substantial property portfolio of sites that are now surplus to operational requirements owing to advances in technology that has made gasholders redundant.
As a result, we set up an independent non-regulated business SGN Place to clear sites of redundant infrastructure and carry out remediation works where required so the land could be used for regeneration for a variety of uses including residential, commercial retail and returning brownfield land as open green space.
SGN Place has over 50 redundant gasholder properties in its portfolio and plans to deliver up to 3,000 homes over the next decade.
SGN Place:
SGN Place's aim is to release development opportunities throughout the coming years with the aim of forming joint venture (JV) partnerships as well as straight forward disposal opportunities on an unconditional or conditional basis. SGN Place land is located south of the River Thames in London and throughout the home counties as well as in Scotland.
